3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the legal owner (or authorized representative of the owner) of the property for which you are seeking exemption services. You represent that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
4. Account Registration
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Fees and Payment
- Service fees are listed on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
- Founding member rates are guaranteed for the life of your account, as long as the account remains active and in good standing.
- Payments are non-refundable once filing work has begun, unless otherwise stated in writing.
- We reserve the right to change pricing for new customers at any time.
6. No Legal or Tax Advice
Exemption.Land is not a law firm, CPA firm, or licensed tax advisory service. The information and services we provide are for assistance with property tax exemption filing and should not be construed as legal, tax, or financial advice. We recommend consulting with a qualified professional for complex tax situations.
7. Limitation of Liability
Exemption.Land is not responsible for decisions made by county appraisal districts regarding your exemption application. While we prepare thorough and accurate applications, approval is at the sole discretion of the relevant appraisal district. We are not liable for any rollback taxes, penalties, or interest that may result from denied or revoked exemptions.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on Exemption.Land, including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and data compilations, is the property of Exemption.Land or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information about your property or eligibility
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from our platform without permission
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any fees already paid for work in progress are non-refundable.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Travis County, Texas.
12. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
